Chef René León graduated from the Culinary Institute of America’s rigorous Bachelor of Professional Studies in Culinary Arts Management program.  After graduation, Chef René studied modern Peruvian cuisine in Lima under Gastón Acurio of Astrid & Gastón (recently voted one of The Worlds 50 Best Restaurants) before taking a position at Gotham Bar & Grill in New York City.  Westchester residents may know Chef René from his work with Tomatillo in Dobbs Ferry and Susan Lawrence in Chappaqua. He acquired his passion for food as a child growing up on his family’s small farm in rural Ecuador.  He is a strong supporter of local farms and sustainable, organic agriculture.  Chef Rene’s unique training and background allow him to provide a culinary experience like no other.
